Best Earbuds Under 100 Dollars For Smartphones

With music playing a big part of our lives today, more people are looking for the best earbuds under 100 bucks for their smartphones. Those cheap earphones you get with your smartphone sound terrible and are of a very poor quality.

Be prepared to buy a new pair of earbuds every few months if you plan on using those that come with your smartphone. On the other hand, a hundred dollars isn’t going to break the bank, and these good quality ones will last you a long time. When you add in the costs of replacing smartphone earphones every few months, they will end up costing you more than 100 bucks.

So, we thought it would be worth compiling a list of the 3 best products. Here they are:

  1. Shure SE215 Earbuds

To put it simply, the Shure SE215s are the best out there. They have a premium build quality and are completely resistant to damage. Honestly, we tried stretching these out to see how strong they were and they were completely solid. They’re apparently made of Kevlar, which helps offer good resistance and we found this to be accurate. This is perfect if you’re out regularly and don’t want to worry about broken earbuds.

As is expected of all Shure products, the SE215s sound brilliant and we were very impressed by the quality you get for the price. For just under 100 dollars, the Shure SE215s are the perfect companion to your smartphone.

The premium design looks stylish and will be certain to turn heads wherever you go. Overall, we haven’t seen any products within this price range that can compete with the Shure SE215s. They’re simply miles ahead of the competition and in our opinion, are the best earbuds under 100 dollars.

  1. HiFiMan RE-400 Earbuds

When it comes to good quality in-ear headphones, HiFiman is pretty popular. They don’t charge sky-high prices like some companies and make some of the best products out there. We stand by our statement that the Shure SE215s cannot be beaten in this price range. Saying that, the HiFiMan RE-400s do a decent job.

The design isn’t overly impressive. The silver and black finish isn’t the best and can’t match up to the premium finish of the Shure SE215s. The sound quality is where the HiFiMan RE-400s really excel. We found it to be really clear and balanced, and gives the Shure SE215s a run for their money. The most impressive aspect of the HiFiMan RE-400s is the price. These are easily one of the best earbuds under 100 bucks. They really are a fantastic buy and worth every penny. Coupled with a good smartphone, you should be able to listen to high quality music for a good few years.

  1. Monster Turbines

Monster primarily focuses on design and style when making their earbuds and the Turbines are no exception. They look stunning and very sleek. You won’t find many earbuds in this price range that beat the Monster Turbines in terms of design.

The sound quality is not bad either. Sure, they’re not as good as the Shure SE215s but they’re still a good choice for those who want stylish earbuds under a hundred dollars as well as the Monster brand name. The headphone cable is tangle-resistant and the all-metal housing offers good protection.

Outcome – Best $100 Earbuds

During this test, we went through various products within this price range and ultimately ended up with 3 sets that we liked most. The Shure SE215s are a firm favorite and the best earbuds under $100 in our opinion. This is based on overall build and sound quality.

The HiFiMan RE-400s come second but they’re still miles apart from the Shures in our opinion. Finally, there’s also a place on the list for the Monster Turbines but they’re far behind the top 2 on this list.

Windows Mobile 10 to Change Microsoft’s Fortunes

It’s hard to believe that a company, which was the once the most profitable in the world has failed so miserably lately. Ever since the departure of Bill Gates, things have just been getting worse and worse for Microsoft. For the first time in its existence, they are actually offering the latest Windows 10 operating system for free. Normally a Windows OS license cost upwards of £100. The fact that they are offering it for free speaks volumes of their continued troubles.

Acquisition of Nokia

With the acquisition of Nokia, there are rumors running around that Microsoft is starting to take its Windows Mobile platform a bit more seriously. Unfortunately, they might have just left it a little too late. Here at AlMacksDanceHall, we really like Windows Mobile. The operating system runs blazing fast on minimal specs and is very smooth.

Microsoft are counting on their new Windows 10 Mobile OS to change their fortunes in the smartphone industry.

Saying that, we can’t see the new Windows Mobile 10 OS to make a significant impact. Microsoft made the initial mistake of not focusing on the mobile platform when Apple and Google were battling it out. Microsoft should have offered developers large incentives to develop for their platform. After all, apps can make or break an ecosystem. On top of that, Microsoft should have charged low prices for their handsets from the very beginning. This would have attracted new consumers, as the risk wasn’t that big. However, it’s now gotten to a point where most people have now developed brand loyalty to either Apple or Google. It’s very difficult for a struggling company to break down 2 giants in the mobile world and we can’t see Windows Mobile 10 changing that.

Evolution of iOS over the last 10 Years

Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android OS have had an uphill battle over the last 10 years. Apple started it all off with the original iPhone back in 2007 and took control of the smartphone market. Google slowly caught up and then overtook Apple by investing significant resources in its Android OS.

Android vs iOS

More and more people were switching over to Android as Apple’s iOS had become “too boring”. This ultimately led to Apple making drastic changes in iOS7, which ended up being very unpopular with a lot of people. As Android smartphones still tend to show signs of lag, a lot of people went back to the fluid interface of Apple’s iOS.

The evolution of iOS has been great to see. This infographic explains how it has evolved over the last 10 years.

As this intense battle continues, we thought it would be worth taking a look at the history and evolution of iOS. There’s no doubt that Apple have made significant changes, some for the better and some for the worse. We have included a link to an infographic that sums everything up in a clear and concise manner. Do let us know which features you like in the latest version of iOS and which features you miss from previous versions.
