NYLON Tour Featuring: She Wants Revenge and Be Your Own Pet
NYLON magazine continues it's foray into all things cool by sponsoring a very hip evening of bands including Switches, the Virgins, Be Your Own Pet, and eccentric LA mavericks, She Wants Revenge. Sadly, I missed Switches and the Virgins, but present to you a night in photos:
Be Your Own pet were a frantic energy of music and spazz. Singer Jamina Pearl was much more the punk ballerina at this show than when I saw her a couple years ago while she had long blonde hair. They reminded me of this super small band from the UK called Cay that I'm sure nobody has heard of.
She was definitely the most difficult singer I’ve ever had to take photos of cos she kept on moving like this:
I tried to get close to the stage but the kids in the audience were as wild as she was! I did love her dress tho:

And at this point of the night… the camera I was using died, so I had to turn to my friend Karen’s camera, which I found out later, is hard to use.
As soon as BYOP were done, I milled about with my friends Karen and Joanna and I met this kid, I forget his name, but I want him to be my future boyfriend in like… 3 years:
Then shit got super dark and people lost their minds cause Justin, Adam12 and co took the stage:

Justin managed to rile up the crowd on many occasions and get them to sing the words to songs from the past albums (they have a new EP that you can get at shows):
I think i surprised my friends when I knew all the words to every single song. I saw them play about 3000 times in 2006.
