The wonderful Yvonne Penzakov went to the Blender theater to check out Almack’s favorites Jukebox the Ghost and the Wombats. Here’s her report:

Last time I was in London The Wombats’ A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation made its way into the Tower of Pisa precariously balanced in my arms at Zavvi. This is going to sound weird, but I shit-you-not, singer/songwriter Matt White has my number somehow and is always texting me. Like, once a month I’ll get a random text from him and I had no clue who he was. It started off with letting me know that he’s playing a show somewhere, or that his video is on mtv, or that he’s an mtv featured artist, or that he’s in rolling stone… I have a tendancey to give my number to random cute boys at bars and I guess he was one of them? I’m not sure. I really have no idea how he has my number or what, but boy is he cute, and double-boy is he amazing.

The other night he played the Blender Theater and our buddies at the Universal Blog were lucky to catch it.
