If you don’t know by now besides being a part time fabricator and user of various aliases(see James Frey). I am also pretty nerdish(Video games and tech). No, really you have no clue. With that I headed out to Studio B for the first time. Studio B is in an industrial section that I would compare to the Township parks and recreation headquarters near where my parents live in Jersey.

Yay St. Patrick’s Day

Dimitry!!!’s High Voltage party on Wednesday nights at the Annex are always an amazing time. Always packed with good looking kids, dancing, socializing, making plans for future collaborations. It’s a great place for people to share new ideas and sounds. It’s also a great place to just let loose.

That’s why it made it a perfect place for performances by New York’s Hearts Revolution and Philly’s InnerPartySystem. Two very edgy bands, displaying reinvented forms of dance music to a group of people who would be incredibly accepting.

Los Angeles’ (Los Feliz to be exact) The Airborne Toxic Event drew a huge crowd of industry folk at the Annex lastnight during their performance at the ClubNME/Stolen Transmission night, and they were joined by eager 18 year old NYU students that were dancing up a storm up front, staring up in awe. When the band took the stage I was standing in the corridor of the venue talking to the doorgirl JennyPenny about something that happened earlier that week and had to leave in basically mid-sentance because the music from inside the venue was pulling me. I felt like Tucan Sam in those Fruit Loop commercials when he follows his nose to the cereal, but instead it was my ears following musical notes.
